Architectural Photographer in Byron Bay & the Northern Rivers.

I photograph houses and commercial buildings for the architects and builders who made them. I'm based in Byron Bay and most of my work is in the Northern Rivers, the Gold Coast and Brisbane, though I travel anywhere in Australia for a project. Before I picked up a camera for a living I was a carpenter. I know how a building goes together, so I notice the things a builder sweats over, like a shadow line or the junction between two materials. Those details usually end up in the photos. On a shoot I follow the light around the building. Some rooms only work in the morning and some facades only come alive late in the afternoon, so I plan the day around that and I don't rush it.

Architects and builders use my photos for award entries, their websites and to win the next job.

Where do you work?

Mostly Byron Bay, Bangalow, Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby, Lennox Head and Ballina, plus the Tweed Coast, Gold Coast and Brisbane. I also travel to Sydney and interstate.

Do you work with architects or with builders?

Both, and with interior designers too. I like to talk with whoever designed the place before the shoot, so I know what mattered to them.

Is drone photography included? Yes. Every package includes drone photos and I can also do a drone only shoot. I'm a licensed drone pilot. It's most useful on bigger blocks and rural sites where the land is part of the design.
